Büsumer Fish Day "New findings on animal welfare in aquaculture", incl. presentation of BaMS

Iinnovation area "Bioeconomy on marine sites (BaMS)" is based on the aquaculture of fish, algae and other organisms, it may be particularly interesting for newcomers from other disciplines to experience first hand, how "we, aquaculturers" usually present and exchange our knowledge.

Traditionally on the first Thursday in the month of June, the Büsumer Fischtag is taking place for the 10th time. This year's topic: "New findings on animal welfare in aquaculture". The full program can be found here: https://www.aquaculture.uni-kiel.de/de/fischtage

In this half-day lecture, the Society for Marine Aquaculture (GMA), the Christian-Albrechts-University Kiel (CAU) and other partners and international guests of the National Competence Center Marine Aquaculture present their latest research results. This year, a participation fee of € 24 per participant will be charged. Exceptions are students and doctoral candidates. The amount is to be paid in cash.

In a short presentation, I will introduce our I-Room BaMS and present the latest information on the start of implementation and the launch of the next round of project calls for proposals.
