Conference International Law and Marine Bioprospecting in a Nordic Context, submit an abstract by June 15!
Co-organized with The Law of the Sea Institute of Iceland and the Norwegian Centre for the Law of the Sea.
Co-financed by The Nordic Council of Ministers and the Ocean Group at the Department of Law, Gothenburg University.
The Conference will focus on legal aspects of marine bioprospecting, the use of marine genetic resources in biotechnology, with a particular focus on Nordic aspects. Discussions will include relevant international law negotiations and treaties, domestic implementation and regulation as well as business perspectives.
The Conference will be held in the Wallenberg Conference Centre, University of Gothenburg 12-13 October. In light of COVID19, it will be possible to make online presentations.
Abstracts are requested by June 15. Accepted contributions will be notified by July 1. Organizers will cover travel and accommodation expenses for accepted contributions. Accepted contributions are expected to be published in an edited open access volume by a renowned academic publisher.
