German Stakeholder Meeting: mussel farming & water quality in the Baltic Sea'


Three years past its launch, the project Baltic Blue Growth provides impressive findings and innovative offers for the beneift of the next generation of mussel farms in the Baltic Sea. Mussel research plants installed within the frame of BONUS Optimus helped to improve the water salinity indicators. BBG stakeholders will meet in Rostock on 19 March.

The event will give a comprehensive overview of the state of affairs within the Baltic Sea mussel farming in Sweden, Denmark and Germany allowing for lively discussions about transferability and future prospects. 

As part of the Baltic Blue Growth project, SUBMARINER Network will present the Ecosystem Service Payments for mussels, a comprehensive study (developed by the SUBMARINER) on potential schemes aiming at supporting farms for providing ecosystem services in the Baltic Sea Region.
