Network discussing Maritime Technologies Master Plan in European Parliament
Representatives of the SUBMARINER Network discussed the development of a Master Plan for Maritime Technologies in the Baltic Sea Region with members of the CPMR and the European Parliament. They were invited by the European Parliament’s Intergroup in charge of the Baltic Sea, and the Seas, Rivers, Islands and Coastal Areas
During the conference “Developing adapted tools to boost Blue Growth in the Baltic”, the SUBMARINER Network’s flagship leader Steffen Lüsse from the Ministry of Economic Affairs Schleswig-Holstein and the Network’s managing director Angela Schultz-Zehden emphasised the role of the SUBMARINER Network and the SUBMARINER Roadmap in realising this Master Plan that the European Commission has started to develop. They were part of a panel together with Bernhard Friess, acting director of DG MARE for the Baltic Sea, North Sea and Landlocked Member States.
