Smart Blue Regions: an essential project for the EUSBSR
In the framework of the 7th Annual Forum for the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) - which will take place in Stockholm on the 8th and 9th November 2016 - the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth is publishing a brochure presenting the Strategy and its financial opportunities for Baltic stakeholders.
Few Interreg projects of great relevance for the EUSBSR are introduced in this brochure including Smart Blue Regions.
Its Lead Partner – Steffen Lüsse from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Employment, Transport and Technology Schleswig-Holstein – is presenting the project and its contribution to the strategy. Smart Blue regions stresses the potential for smart and sustainable growth in the marine and maritime sector and is therefore fully integrated in the priority “Innovation – Exploiting the full potential of the region in research, innovation and SME” of the EUSBSR. The project indeed contributes to reducing existing innovation barriers, facilitating transnational cooperation for the development and commercial exploitation of joint research projects and developing new innovation support instrument.
